POPzilla Gallery knows that 2015 is a big deal. Arguably the most noteworthy thing about this year is it’s the year Doc and Marty went Back to the Future. Besides somehow pushing up the future release of the powerlacing Nike’s from the movie, POPzilla is offering the next best thing: a celebration of art related to both Back to the Future and time travel movies in general, complete with a replica Delorean from the movie in attendance!

The above illustration of the iconic Lorraine/Marty car scene comes from noted artist Jeff Delgado, whose 80’s/90’s pop-culture works fit in perfectly with the event.

This piece, entitled Quantum Entanglement shows a variety of the time travel inspired works that artists will draw from. We’re talking Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Dr. Who, Terminator, Hot Tub Time Machine just to name a few. Video games, comics and TV shows are also fair game to serve as starting points for the approximately 50 (!) different industry artists who will be contributing work for this event.

The opening night reception for “TIME after TIME” is this Saturday May 9th 6pm – 10pm at the Rothick Art Haus in Anaheim, California. As a treat for the people at opening night, POPzilla is bringing a replica Delorean TO THE VENUE! Will you actually be able to travel through time? There’s only one way to find out!

Rothick also hosted POPzilla’s very successful Tim Burton show in November 2014. The opening reception will be FREE to the public, and the originals and prints will be on sale. POPzilla notes that they price their art to sell, “because we don’t think you should have to make six figures to be able to enjoy great art.” Boom, it’s like that with POPzilla. Most of the artists will also be in attendance, available to sign purchased art.

POPzilla’s show will also be part of ACE the Art Crawl Experience in Orange County. Check out the area around Rothick, and you’ll find fire dancers, food trucks, and tons of other awesome activities.

If for some reason you can’t make it to this collection of amazing activities, POPzilla is offering first dibs at a “Collector’s Online Preview,” Friday the 8th at 8 PM for one hour only at SamCarterArt.com. Other then that, you need to show up in person to snag it all. On the 10th at noon, the remaining art will be put online, but all the good stuff just might get snagged up…

Amazing art! From 50 arists! A Delorean! Food trucks and fire dancers in the vicinity! If you’re anywhere in So. Cal., get to “TIME after TIME” this Saturday!
